Upcoming Shows
Take an armchair visit to the San Diego-La Jolla Underwater Park with a slide show presentation by Judith Garfield, and tour the submerged areas off La Jolla Cove and La Jolla Shores. Learn a bit about the history, geography, and geology of the area, the formation and unique characteristics of the Ecological Reserve, and the special traits and behaviors of local marine life that dwell in the park's kelp forest, rocky reef area, shallow sandy flats, and deep submarine canyon.
An avid underwater park diver, Judith wrote two books about the area. The first emphasizes marine life found in the rocky areas and kelp bed off La Jolla Cove. The second book, a companion to the first, highlights what lives in the sand and canyon habitats off La Jolla Shores and describes a little-known archaeological site. Books available for sale and signing at all engagements.
If you would like Judith to present a slide show and sign books at your organization's meeting, send an email to judith@garfield.org.
